Angela Forman
Head of Finance and Admin (Co-Director)Angela is a Psychology undergraduate who works primarily with youth organizations on women's rights and minority rights. At SI, Angela manages all our finance and administrative work, including volunteer relations and project administration. Angela brings a wealth of technological expertise to our team and plays a pivotal role in managing our digitization efforts.
Samiha Muhsin
Admin and Finance CoordinatorSamiha Muhsin holds a Diploma and HND in Psychology and BSc in Psychology and Counseling. She is a mentee at the Commonwealth of Learning, Canada. At SI, she is an Organizer for the Kandy regional team and our Finance and Administration Coordinator.
Fawzul Himaya Hareed
Head of CommunicationsHimaya is a Psychology graduate and writer. She is skilled in design, production and website development and oversees all our social media and online campaigns. In 2024, she was chosen as a Young Leader for Women, Peace and Security in Asia and the Pacific by UN Women.
Nabeela Iqbal
Founder and Co-DirectorNabeela is a graduate in Sociology, a fellow of Asia Society and an alumna of IVLP. She has a decade of experience in the development sector and works on various initiatives related to minority and women's rights. She founded the Sisterhood Initiative in 2020 through a simple WhatsApp group. She is currently a Co-director and the Founder.
Muqaddasa Wahid
Co-DirectorMuqaddasa is a journalist, freelance content creator and a researcher. As a content creator, she uses her skills to advocate for human rights, mental health and various women-centric issues. She has several years of experience in content creation, research and monitoring and evaluation. She is currently a Co-director.
Sakina Mansoorally
Programmes ConsultantSakina is a graduate in Law and a Fellow of Asia Society. Currently, she serves as a Programmes Consultant for SI, leveraging her expertise in human rights advocacy and youth leadership to shape the organization's initiatives. Her focus remains on empowering young women and fostering inclusive dialogue within communities.
Shifa Najmudeen
Head of Support TeamShifa is an undergraduate in Management with experience in both administrative and financial operations. She manages the SI Support Team.
Sumaiya Frahath
Support Team CoordinatorSumaiya is a student of Psychology. At SI, she is a Coordinator for the Support Team. She takes a leading role in case management and in creating a supportive community for women.
Aqilah Naleem
Communications CoordinatorAqilah is a graduate in Communications. At SI, she is a Communications Coordinator. She oversees and manages all the SI social media pages and content.
Pathumika Thathsarani
Communications AdministratorPathumika is an undergraduate in Arts. At SI, she is a Communications Administrator. She primarily handles the SI Tamil social media content and provides administrative support to the Communications Team.
Amani Raji
Programmes CoordinatorAmani is an undergraduate in Arts. At SI, she is a Programmes Coordinator. She primarily handles SI's work in the Puttalam and Anuradhapura districts.
Aliza Hussain
